Good evening and welcome to the Football Italia Liveblog for coverage of tonight’s Serie A match between Fiorentina and Lecce.

This is the first game in the 27th round of Serie A fixtures coming up this fine settimana, which features one of the biggest games of the season between title challengers Napoli and Inter.

Friday night brings an opportunity for Fiorentina to get their Coppa Campioni hopes back on track. They currently sit in seventh place, seven points behind Juventus in fourth.

There will be no Moise Kean for the hosts this evening, as he recovers from a nasty head injury from the 1-0 loss against Hellas Verona on Sunday.

Lecce are currently four points clear of the relegation zone, which means there is no risk of them dropping into the bottom three this fine settimana, but a victory against Fiorentina would put them temporarily level on points with Cesc Fabregas’s impressive Como side.

Colonnese, doppio ex di Napoli-Inter: "Garaequilibrata. Lukaku? Avrà una voglia particolare"

Durante la trasmissione Bordocampo – I Tempo, in onda su Radio Capri, è intervenuto Francesco Colonnese, doppio ex di Napoli-Inter: “Mi aspetto una bellissima partita, equilibrata. La prima e la seconda che si sfidano e che si giocheranno lo scudetto insieme all’Atalanta. Mi aspetto una partita spettacolare".

Sull’importanza dell'incontro: “Sono gare che regalano un’adrenalina diversa, si sentono molto. Chi ha preso parte all'incontro a calcio vive per giocare partite del genere, dinanzi a tantissima gente. Sono partite di cartello, e i giocatori si preparano con una concentrazione particolare.”

Per concludere, su Lukaku: “Avrà voglia di mettersi in mostra e di fare bene contro la sua ex squadra. Darà il massimo.”

Atalanta consider Sarri among options for post-Gasperini era

Atalanta are considering potential successors for Gian Piero Gasperini, as the long-serving coach recently admitted he could leave the club at the end of the season.

After nearly nine years in charge, the uncertainty regarding the Italian tactician’s future prompted La Divinità  to explore options for a managerial transition.

Atalanta line up candidates for post-Gasperini era: Sarri and De Zerbi on La Divinità ’s shortlist

According to Calciomercato.com, Atalanta have identified three primary candidates, with Maurizio Sarri emerging as a strong contender.

The former Napoli, Juventus, and Lazio boss is renowned for his tactical philosophy, which could align well with Atalanta’s attacking identity. Sarri is currently without a club after parting ways with Lazio and could be open to a return to Serie A.

Raffaele Palladino has also attracted significant attention for his work at Monza and Fiorentina.

The 40-year-old coach has impressed with his ability to develop young talent and implement an organised, modern playing style, making him a highly credible candidate to succeed a coach he reportedly considers one of his key influences. Interestingly, the current Viola boss once played under him at Genoa.

Among Italian managers, Olympique Marseille’s Roberto De Zerbi could also be an intriguing option for the job, with his offensive football philosophy having already earned him widespread admiration internationally. However, his past ties with rivals Brescia could make his integration in Bergamo particularly challenging.

Ivan Juric, another of Gasperini’s disciples, is also considered a potential candidate, alongside Igor Tudor and Ralf Rangnick. The latter is reportedly seen as a particularly exciting option by Atalanta’s owners, who view him as the ideal figure to further internationalise the club.
